Virtual field trip was part of our learning in the Technology Class. I consider, this is one of the most amazing tools available for teachers on the Internet.
This strategy allows students learn and understand new concepts by seeing real images, and listening to the sounds about the topic they are studying. At the same time, they can enjoy visiting the place, and enriching their knowledge without leaving their classroom.
Advantages of using Virtual Field Trips
- Students will experiment a trip without leaving their classroom
- Teachers and students do not have to pay for transportation
- It is a powerful way to inspire students of all ages
- It promotes discussions and interactions among students
- This tool allows the students use the four learning skills, listening, speaking, reading, and writing

We learned how to plan a virtual field trip
- Research on the Internet about a virtual field trip on the topic you are teaching
- Teachers can search on the web and set an appointment with a scientist to interact with them during a virtual field trip.
- Make sure your students are following the trip, as in real life. Let them know you will be going to grade it. So, give them something they have to complete and turn into you at the end of the virtual field trip.

Virtual Field Trip is one of my favorites and I can`t wait to use it in my classroom! The idea of taking my students out and experiencing a whole new topic but digitally I know they will really enjoy it, I would love myself to experience a topic using this kind of method.
